The name Panamera is derived from the Carrera Panamericana race just like its smaller sibling the Porsche Carrera. In the 1980s the sports car manufacturer introduced their 989 Concept to which the new Panamera is said to be one of the fruit of that concept. By the looks of the car, that is a hell of a concept. The 970 looks like a beautifully elongated 911. Like most full size luxury four door sedan, the Panamera offers a vast range of engine options from diesel to hybrid models as well. One can easily see the extent and the amount of resources that Porsche has dedicated to the development of the Panamera, especially from the inside. People are accustomed to Porsche being a sports car manufacturer, but from the inside one might mistaken the Panamera for an S-CLASS Mercedes-Benz with is magnificently designed seats and settings and high attention to detail. Despite all that keep in mind that this is still a Porsche, so at the touch of a few buttons or turns of a few knobs you could find yourself on a race track and might just forget that this is actually a four door luxury sedan. The Panamera Turbo S is considered to be the most powerful mass production model currently being made by the company - Porsche. This is mostly achieved by the use of bigger Turbo Chargers compared to the standard Turbo's installed on the other models offering the 4.8-litre V8 option.

The official debut of the second generation Porsche Cayenne code named (92A) was at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. The new model is significantly larger overall in size compared to its predecessor the Cayenne (9PA). In addition the cars body employs are more slanting modern look surely making its appearance more striking and further complimenting the driving capabilities of such a vehicle as this one. When looking a the Cayenne there are certain things one should reflect upon, number 1- This is a Porsche made vehicle so you should expect some pretty good performance from the car, number 2- As its class suggest this is a luxury mid-size crossover SUV and by simply glancing at the top photos once can assume that there is no doubt in the description, number 3 - This is an SUV so if things ever gets out of hand meaning off-road off-course i am sure that the car will be able to tackle any realistic obstacles present in its path. It should be noted though that very importantly the Cayenne alongside the Panamera are two of the best selling Porsche models currently available on the market. The platform of the Cayenne has been developed by Porsche whilst it is also shared with the Volkswagen Touareg, but every other aspects such as vehicle designs, tuning and testings including production are done in-house at Porsche specifically.

In 2013 the German Automaker Porsche AG released their new SUV the Macan at the Tokyo Motor Show and at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Originally it was known by its code name the 'Cajun' or in simple terms 'The Cayenne Junior'. Hard to believe but the Macan is built to be even more 'sportier' than its big brother the Cayenne. This is mostly down due to its 7-speed dual clutch PDK gearbox which is more responsive and the fact that it is smaller in size and thus more nimbler and agile, whilst on the other hand the Cayenne has the 8-Speed Tiptronic transmission for smoother overall shifts further emphasizing its luxurious stance. Again we see another Porsche vehicle that shares the same platform as another German Auto giant 'Audi', with the Macan sharing the same platform as the Audi Q5. However, the Macan is quicker and more capable both on-road and off-road. In terms of interior and exterior designs, engines as well as other mechanical bits and pieces, basically the more important parts are 100% Porsche.
